The maturity streak is written all across actress Katrina Kaif‘s face as she is facing interviews these days while promoting her upcoming film Zero. Answering questions related to her personal and professional life with never-before-seen confidence, the Suraiyya of Bollywood recently revealed why she said ‘yes’ to Aanand L Rai directorial Zero despite having screentime of barely 25 minutes and her reason is worth a thousand accolades.
In an interview to DNA, Katrina revealed, “I think you have to see the film in totality. Honestly, I had thoughts initially- someone’s screen time is more and I don’t need to do this. But, both Aanand Sir and Shah Rukh were so insistent and persistent that this was something which they really felt was going to be important for me to do.”
Having worked in the industry for good 15 years now and doling out successful films like Namaste London, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Ek Tha Tiger among others, Katrina feels it is worth the risk to venture out of one’s comfort norms once in a while. “Aanand Rai is a director I have so much respect for and he seemed so certain that this was a journey he was not going to let me down on, one which was very important for me and I took that leap. It’s ok in a career which has been going on for some time, it’s ok to take a little step outside of what one normally thinks and see what happens” shared the actress.
As per the reports, Katrina’s 25 minutes of screen time in the film will stun the audience with her performance as she plays a brilliant role in it. Enjoying a huge fan base, the run for pre-bookings for Zero is already underway as the audience looks forward to her film. Katrina will be seen playing a diva who is battling alcoholism in the movie Zero, where she has reunited with Jab Tak Hai Jaan co-stars Shahrukh Khan and Anushka Sharma.
