Living up to the expectations of Bollywood’s trade analysts, Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra starrer Kesari pumped Rs 6.52 crore on Day 7 of its release, making the film land in the Rs 100 crore club. This has been the fastest to be grossed by any movie, leaving behind Gully Boy that managed the earnings on day 8 and Total Dhamaal which minted approximately the same on day 9 of their respective release dates. Kesari shows the story of valour of 21 Sikh soldiers under British army who fought against 10000 Afghan troopers in what is considered as one of the bravest last stands in the world’s history.
