Actor Yash who played the lead in KGF: Chapter 1 has turned a year older today. 2018 proved to be rocking for the star as his film not only performed well in India but did a wonderful business at the international markets. Yash aka Naveen Kumar Gowda started his acting career from TV shows in the Kannada language. He featured in teleserial Nanda Gokula directed by Ashok Kashyap and then worked in many shows. He made his debut by playing a smaller part in 2017 release Jambada Hudugi. Yash played a supporting role in Moggina Manasu and then went on to become part of many commercially successful films like Gajakesari, Raja Huli, Modalasala and more. He became one of the most sought-after and popular stars of Karnataka. The actor is blessed with killer looks and has female fans swooning over him.
His film KGF broke many box office records and the Hindi version even gave tough competition to Shah Rukh Khan starrer Zero. Talking about it, Yash told The News Minute, “I won’t say that doing better than a Shah Rukh Khan film is something I aspire to do. Ideally, I would want both the films to do well. But yes, the way north Indian audiences have responded has surprised all of us in the KGF team. In north India, they don’t know who I am, yet they are clapping and cheering at my entry.”
Yash’s fans were very excited for his birthday and even began the countdown. He shared a video on Facebook informing that he won’t be celebrating the day as the mark of respect for the legend actor Ambarish who passed away recently. He thanked fans for their love and also apologised for not celebrating this year. The actor further requested his fans to respect his decision.
