Kapil Sharma is back with his new show on Sony Entertainment Television titled, Family Time With Kapil Sharma and looks like history is repeating itself. The comedian has found himself in a slew of controversies yet again. Well, everyone is shell shocked that the comedian has found himself engulfed in negative news once again and his former colleague and fellow comedian Krushna Abhishek blames the failure of his film, Firangi as the reason for his disturbed ‘mental condition’. In an interview with a leading tabloid Krushna opened up about Sharma for the very first time. In the interview, Krushna said that Kapil lost a lot of money owing to Firangi’s failure. He further said that his new show too failed to garner the kind of attention his earlier shows did, which only added to his woes.
Furthermore, Krushna said that he had never taken Kapil’s side before but he was feeling bad for the way everyone was ‘pouncing’ on him. He even urged the audiences to forgive the comedian. He admitted to Kapil being an alcoholic but stated that he was never into drugs. He further stated that Kapil should just stop tweeting. He criticised journalist Vickey Lalwani of Spotboye and said that it was wrong on hi part to ‘harass’ him and write negative pieces on someone who is suffering from depression.
He also spoke about Kapil’s alleged former girlfriend and manager, Preeti, and said that he had worked with her in ‘The Drama Company’ but she never said anything bad about him. He recounted times when he wanted to include the comedian in his jokes but was stopped by Preeti. For the uninitiated, The Kapil Sharma Show was replaced by Krushna Abhishek’s Show, the Drama Company in September 2017.
The controversy in question started on Friday ie April 6 when Kapil Sharma put out a series of tweets abusing SpotBoye’s editor in chief, Vickey Lalwani, for publishing fake news against him and tarnishing his reputation. In response, Vicky Lalwani had shared an alleged audio tape of Kapil Sharma in which the comedian is heard abusing what we assume is Vickey Lalwani. Kapil later sued Vicky Lalwani and his former managers, Neeti Simoes and Preeti Simoes, blaming them of trying to extort Rs 25 lakh from him. In his complaint, he accused Lalwani to have started a false and malicious propaganda against him to tarnish his name, all in the insistence of his former managers. Lalwani’s media organisation, on the other hand, has lodged a counter complaint against Kapil.
