One of Bollywood’s favourite jodis, Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit is all set to make a comeback together after a span of 18 years with Indra Kumar’s Total Dhamaal. Fans can’t seem to keep calm any longer. The duo began shooting for the adventure comedy from today by grooving to the title track.. Filmmaker Indra Kumar shares, “All three of us are shooting together 26 years after Beta and I’m excited about reuniting with my blockbuster jodi. They play husband and wife in the film and have been prepping for a while but I can’t reveal any details except that Anil goes by the name of Avinash and all of us call him Avi.” Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Jaaved Jaaferi, Riteish Deshmukh, Sanjay Mishra and Pitobash will join the duo for the song from Sunday.
Anil and Madhuri will be shooting for the film for the next fortnight. Indra Kumar adds, “It’s like a Beta reunion. I remember a week before the film’s release, we picturised “Dhak Dhak”. We’d already received the censor certificate by then so we had to add another supplement to the certificate for the song which was incorporated later. It was a last-minute addition and created history. We were all blown away when we saw it for the first time.”
In January 2018, Aamir Khan who worked with filmmaker Indra Kumar, the director of the upcoming comedy caper, gave the mahurat clap for the film. The Bollywood superstar graced the sets on the very first day and enjoyed a nostalgic moment with Madhuri, Ajay and Anil. It was rather sweet of him to take off time from his Thugs of Hindostan shoot and be present on the sets with the Total Dhamaal team. He has worked with Madhuri, Anil and Ajay on Dil, Mann and Ishq respectively.Presented by Fox Star Studios, Total Dhamaal is produced by Ajay Devgn Films, Maruti and Fox Star Studios and is directed by Indra Kumar. The original cast of the film comprising Arshad Warsi, Javed Jaffery, Riteish Deshmukh and Ashish Chowdhury along with some new actors like Ajay Devgn, Boman Irani, Madhuri Dixit and Anil Kapoor will reportedly feature in Total Dhamaal.
