After becoming Aditya Roy Kapur‘s top first-weekend grosser, Malang collected Rs 4.04 crore on its first Monday. The four-day total of the Mohit Suri directorial stands at Rs 29.04 crore. The film is raking a decent business from the metros and the multiplexes. At least that’s what trade analyst Taran Adarsh revealed while sharing the latest Box Office details of Malang on Twitter.
His tweet read, “#Malang posts respectable numbers on Day 4… Metros/multiplexes contribute to its earnings… Needs to maintain the trend on remaining weekdays for a decent Week 1 total… Fri 6.71 cr, Sat 8.89 cr, Sun 9.76 cr, Mon 4.04 cr. Total: ₹ 29.40 cr. #India biz.” (sic)
Malang features a stunning starcast. Apart from Aditya, it also stars Anil Kapoor, Disha Patani and Kunal Kemmu in the lead. The music of the film is already a hit and has played a crucial role in attracting the audience to the theatres. Another important factor that led to the entire buzz around Malang was Aditya and Disha’s steamy scenes.
The two actors have impressed the audience with the sizzling chemistry in the film, especially the under-water kiss for which they had to undergo a tough training schedule. However, Malang is not going to sustain its run at the Box Office for a long time. Imtiaz Ali’s new film – Love Aaj Kal is hitting the screens as the big Valentine’s Day release and the lead stars – Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan – have left no stone unturned in creating just the right buzz.
