Shahid Kapoor may be one of the most popular actors in Bollywood today. However, it’s his one-year-old daughter, Misha Kapoor, who has surpassed his popularity already. The little one is quite a social media star and any news pertaining to her will always make headlines. Speaking about that, a children’s brand recently approached Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput as they wanted to cast their daughter in an ad and while Mira was reportedly quite excited about the offer, Shahid was not ready to expose his daughter to the world of glamour just yet.
In one of his previous interviews with a leading tabloid, Shahid confessed that this constant media glare makes him feel like he should have had another job. “I hate to think of all the glare that’s on her. That is probably the only time I feel I should have had another job. I don’t want her to deal with it. It’s not good for children to go through this. They have a right to a normal childhood.” He further added saying, “She has to deal with it because I am her dad. It’s tough for me, as a parent, to make peace with that. I hope she will learn how to tackle it when she grows up,” he told Midday during an interaction.
Furthermore, he said that he is responsible for a woman who has left her life in Delhi to be with him. “I am responsible for my daughter and must be an example for her. I have to be a good human being first, a good actor later. I’ve realised that this drastic shift is helping me grow as both,” he said. Meanwhile, Shahid has reportedly wrapped up the first schedule of his upcoming film, Batti Gul Meter Chalu, and will soon be heading to Amritsar to attend a satsang with Mira, Misha and his in laws on his birthday.
