Actor Mohanlal starrer Lucifer is doing a good business at the Box Office worldwide. The latest reports suggest that the Malayalam film has grossed a total of Rs 50 crore worldwide. At the domestic Box Office, the political drama opened to collect Rs 6.7 crore on Thursday and Rs 6.5 crore on Friday. The trade sources say that the Saturday collection for the film stands at Rs 6.9 crore.

Lucifer has been performing well overseas as well. It has reportedly emerged as the biggest opener for Mohanlal at the USA Box Office. Back home, this record stays with Odiyan, which is also the highest grossing Mollywood film. Lucifer’s collection is the result of not just a performance-oriented star-cast but good word-of-mouth as well. The film has been appreciated by all the section of the masses. Prithviraj Sukumaran, who is a known actor in the South Indian film industry, has helmed Lucifer, generating praises for himself from all corners. Together, he and Mohanlal have now emerged as one of the most sought after actor-director duo of the Malayalam film industry.

Lucifer is also on its way to becoming Mohanlal’s highest grossing film in India. Another reason for the same is the extended first weekend it witnessed at the Box Office. The film was released on Thursday and garnered immense appreciation on its day one itself.

Apart from Mohanlal, Lucifer also features Vivek Oberoi, Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Saikumar and Baiju in important roles. Director Prithviraj Sukumaran can also be seen making a special appearance in the film.

Recently, while promoting the film in the media, Vivek talked to a daily and expressed his love for the state of Kerala. The actor revealed that he has been regularly visiting the famous Sabarimala Temple. He added that he didn’t think twice before accepting the opportunity of debuting in Mollywood. Vivek mentioned that working with Mohanlal has been a dream come true for him.
