We don’t know whether to believe these box office figures or not, but godman Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Insan’s movie MSG-2 The Messenger has crossed Rs 300 crore at the box office in India and overseas. The film is steady in its fourth week in theatres across India, even though it was banned in states like Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh in the north.

Gurmeet Ram Rahim tweeted about the film’s record-breaking Rs 300 crore box office collections this morning and also last evening. He posted with a set of smileys, “#MSG2Crossed300 Good Morning.God bless you all”.

He also shard pictures of his followers watching the movie in theatres in north India and especially Punjab, and also London.

According to a press statement, MSG-2 The Messenger had collected Rs 275 crore in its third week itself. The ‘godman’ of Dera Sacha Sauda said about the movie’s success, “The reason behind the film’s success is a clean entertainment with a powerful message. The series of MSG films will not pause but only become stronger until all evils are eradicated from society.”

“Films can initiate and sustain social change in today’s world. They can be used to defeat drug abuse and negativity,” he added, saying, “The parameter of this film’s success is thousands of youth who have quit drugs after seeing the film.”

MSG-2 The Messenger is the sequel to MSG: The Messenger of God that released in early 2015 and was also a box office success.
