Rs 500 crore earned already and still counting! When the country’s leading English newspaper claimed that figure for the much controversial film starring Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, that bit of info certainly made our eyes pop out of our collective skull. Has MSG: The Messenger Of God  really surpassed the Dhooms and the Ghajinis and the Kicks starring our mega-stars? On closer inspection we found out it was meant be a rather works of fiction by The Times of India (TOI) to make us giggle. Not bad at all guys you caught us by the eyeballs and got us a news that was as fake as it was hilarious.

On a serious note we must give you the exact figure at though. MSG was released across 2,500 screen in the country and another 300 screen overseas. It has managed to rake in Rs 2.5 crore as of now as per the collections stand at BO. Estimated to have been crafter with Rs 50 crore this film is wide off the mark when it comes to recovery. But analysts and film trade pundits claim that MSG is likely to do well in in UK and Canada in the days to come. MSG was originally supposed to hit the screens on January 16, but did not receive approval from the Censor Board. The board  as the board found some parts of the movie controversial  implying the lead actor had god-like abilities.
