The latest buzz doing rounds on social media is yesteryear actor Mumtaz has passed away. One of the Bollywood’s trade analyst Komal Nahta took to Twitter to share this information. However, it seems like Mumtaz is very much alive and well. When Mumtaz got to know about this news, she was shocked to hear that people think that she had passed away. However, Satyameva Jayate director Milap Zaveri took to Twitter to dismiss the rumours and wrote, “Mumtaz Aunty is alive and absolutely fine. Just spoke to her and @Shaadrandhawa her nephew. She would like for the rumours to stop (sic).”
Mumtaz’s younger daughter, Tanya Madhvani, on Saturday, took to social media to dispell the reports of her mother’s death and said that it’s all rubbish. She posted a video with a caption, “So exhausting another rumour of my mother’s death. She is healthy and looking beautiful as always and has asked me to let her fans know she is well ! It’s all rubbish 😘”.

Mumtaz, who is 71-year-old, was best known for her roles in films such as Mela, Apradh, Nagin, Bramhachari, Ram Aur Shyam, Do Raste and Khilona, lives in London with her family. She has also given some famous Bollywood numbers during that era including “Aaj Kal Tere Mere Pyaar Ke Charche”, “Gore Rang Pe Na Itna Gumaan Kar”, “Jai Jai Shiv Shankar” and “Bindiya Chamkegi”.
