Parineeti Chopra has wrapped up Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, where she pairs up with her first ever co-star Arjun Kapoor, with whom she debuted in Ishaqzaade. Next, she is done with the look test for Namastey England and will be flying out of the city soon to start shooting for the film, once again with Arjun. However, these two films are not the one she is most looking forward to.
Her first ever project with Akshay Kumar – Kesari – which she will start shooting in a couple of months, is what has Parineeti most excited about. She is pairing up with the Khiladi Kumar for the first time and she is unable to hold her excitement. Speaking to the media at an event held in Mumbai last evening, Pari revealed, “I am very excited to be working with him. In three days I will be leaving for ‘Namastey England’. But I am more excited for ‘Kesari’.”
Further talking about why being part of Kesari is such an event in her life and so special, Parineeti shared, “It has been a dream to work with Akshay for a long time.” No wonder the actress is waiting to get to the sets of this film. And she is also sure that it will be a fun time shooting for Akshay. “He is a Punjabi and so am I and we are doing a Punjabi film together. I am very excited to start the shoot,” Parineeti quipped.
Kesari is being directed by Anurag Singh and will see Akshay essaying the role of Havildar Ishar Singh, while Parineeti plays his wife. The film is based on the historical Battle Of Saragarhi and is slotted for a Holi 2019 release. Parineeti also revealed that she will be shooting for Namastey England and Kesari simultaneously since both the films go on floors one after the other. She will be shooting for Kesari in Amritsar and in London for Namastey England.
