The makers have finally unveiled the name of superstar Rajinikanth’s next project. The movie, helmed by Karthik Subbaraj, has been titled, Petta. In the motion poster, Thalaiva can be seen entering a glitzy, neon church with a candle stand as a weapon. The smile on his face is unmissable. Rajinikanth’s swanky look will leave you asking for more. This is going to be 165th film of the actor’s career.

Trisha Krishnan and Simran will be seen playing leading ladies in the movie. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music. Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who has worked in many Bollywood films, will also be making his Tamil debut with Petta. The movie also features Vijay, Sananth Reddy, Bobby Simhaa and Megha Akash in pivotal roles.

Earlier, it was being said that Vijay Sethupathi will be seen as an antagonist in the film. However, nothing official has been announced on the same. Rajini’s fans are eagerly waiting for some more details about the project.

On a related note, the actor will also be seen in 2.0. The movie is the sequel to 2010 film, Enthiran, that featured actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan alongside the actor. 2.0 features actor Akshay Kumar as an antagonist and the teaser will be out on September 13.
