Prabhas’ Saaho , his next film post the magnanimous success of Baahubali The Conclusion, is one of the most awaited films of 2018. The crew started shooting last year and as of now, the team is prepping to head to UAE to can some crucial action sequences. Even though director Sujeeth and production house UV Creations have been trying all their might to finish the film in time and ready it for 2018 release, the feat looks difficult. According to India.com source who is privy to what is holding up the schedule of the film, the action and stunt scenes are a major reason why the schedules are going haywire.
The source reveals, “There are some international stunt artists who have been brought on board Saaho. Sujeeth is very keen on shooting the action scenes ala Hollywood films and therefore, the post production of the film is happening simultaneously as the shoot takes place so as to gauge if the scene has come out as desired or if there is need for any alteration or re-shoot to make it more perfect. It is a time consuming process and will take the time it takes and one cannot rush it.”
The source also revealed that all the parties working on the film – be it Prabhas or the production house or the director are on board with this decision. We also hear that the action scenes are being shot and completed first so that the international crew on board of Saaho can be relieved. In such a scenario, meeting a 2018 release date looks difficult. Talking about Saaho release date, the source says, “The makers are now mulling over a Sankranthi 2019 release date. It is auspicious and will also give the team enough time to complete the project the way they want, without any rush and decent time to promote it as well.”
The film is being made in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi simultaneously and therefore there is no doubt that it is going to be a time consuming affair. While we are sure that fans will be a little disappointed that Prabhas will grace the big screen in 2019 instead of 2018, we know that the wait will be worth it. Haina? The film stars Shraddha Kapoor as the female lead and Neil Nitin Mukesh as the bad guy.
