Yesterday, R Madhavan‘s son, Vedaant won a bronze medal for India in the 1500m freestyle at the Thailand Age Group Swimming Championship. The actor and his wife Sarita are really proud of this feat achieved by their son. Madhavan took to social media to announce this. The actor also thanked everyone for their blessings.
The 47-year-old actor took to Instagram to post the picture of their son with the bronze medal. He wrote, “Proud moment for Sarita (his wife) and I, as Vedaant wins his first medal for India in an international swim meet in Thailand today. On the work front, Madhavan was recently offered a role in Rohit Shetty’s Simmba which stars Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan, but the actor had to turn it down. The actor was extremely heartbroken for not being able to do the role as he has been advised bed rest by his doctor. He took to Twitter and wrote, “Hey folks .. So I am a huge crazy fan of Rohit Shetty and his films. As is my son. It breaks both our hearts that I’m not able to be a part of this film because of my injury. I’m well on my way to recovery but this is a huge opportunity and excitement lost.”
