Ajay Devgn, Ileana D’Cruz and Saurabh Shukla starrer Raid is slowly inching towards the coveted Rs 100 crore club and it has now earned Rs 86.98 crores at the Box Office. The film registered one of the biggest openings of 2018 and saw a good growth over the past week, but witnessed a dip in the collection on Friday after the release of Rani Mukerji’s Hichki. However, the film has gained its momentum and is back on track eliciting some good numbers at the box office over the weekend. Good word of mouth seems to be the reason for its box office success.
According to Film Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh, the film managed to earn Rs 2.62 crore on Wednesday, thus, taking its total collection to Rs 86.98 crore in just nine days. Earlier today, Taran Adarsh took to his micro-blogging site to share the official collection of the film. He wrote,#Raid [Week 2] Fri 3.55 cr, Sat 5.71 cr, Sun 7.22, Mon 2.42 cr, Tue 2.41 cr, Wed 2.62 cr. Total: ₹ 86.98 cr. Helmed by Raj Kumar Gupta, the period crime thriller is inspired by real-life I-T raids (high profile income tax raids) that were conducted by the officers of the Indian Revenue Service in the 1980s. Written by Ritesh Shah, the film is bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak, while the music for the film is scored by Amit Trivedi, Tanishk Bagchi.
