After a successful run at the box office with his films Singham, Baadshaho and Golmaal Again, Ajay Devgn has once again won the hearts of the audience with his power-packed performance in his latest outing Raid. The film opened to fair reviews on Friday and impressed the audience so much so that it managed to become one of the highest openers of 2018 after Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone’s Padmaavat. On the fifth day of its release, The Ajay Devgn, Saurabh Shukla and Ileana D’Cruz starrer has managed to cross Rs 50 crore at the box office. The film’s total collection now stands at Rs 53.03 crore.

According to Film Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh, Ajay Devgn’s film managed to earn Rs 5.76 crore on Monday, thus, taking its total collection to Rs 53.03 crore in four days. Earlier today, Taran Adarsh took to his micro-blogging site to share the official collection of the film. He wrote, “#Raid maintains the momentum… Crosses ₹ 50 cr mark… Is eyeing an IMPRESSIVE Week 1 total… Fri 10.04 cr, Sat 13.86 cr, Sun 17.11 cr, Mon 6.26 cr, Tue 5.76 cr. Total: ₹ 53.03 cr. Written by Ritesh Shah and helmed by Raj Kumar Gupta, the film is inspired by the real-life I-T raids that were conducted by the officers of the Indian Revenue Service in the 1980s. The film is bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak, while the music for the film is scored by Amit Trivedi, Tanishk Bagchi Bollywood Life’s film critic Ankita Chaurasia had mentioned in her review, “Raid keeps you riveted throughout. You are always kept guessing as to what will happen next, which is a great thing for a film like this.” Watch this space for further updates.
