It is a great news for the Telugu film industry and for Ram Charan, Samantha Akkineni and director Sukumar – the team behind Rangasthalam. The film has become the fastest Rs 100 crore grosser in the history of Telugu cinema, by raking in Rs 102 crore gross in just four days (worldwide collection). The film is second only to Prabhas – SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali franchise (1+2). The film is also actress Samantha’s eight film to enter the Rs 100 crore club after (Mersal, Theri, Janata Garage, Attarintiki Daredi, Kaththi, Rangasthalam, 24TheMovie (T&T) and Dookudu – Incl Dub).
Fans of both the stars are naturally in a celebratory mode. Ram Charan has once again proved to be a mega star and his experiment with his look and doing a film with a rustic setting has proved successful. The actor had confessed that he was nervous about how this new role and different film will be accepted by the audience, but after his learning as an actor while doing Rangasthalam and the massive love it has received, the actor is now keen on doing more realistic films.
