Mega Powerstar Ram Charan’s Rangasthalam has collected a gross of over Rs 200 crores and is continuing its strong run at the box office. Rangasthalam is the only Telugu film other than Prabhas’ Baahubali franchise in this exclusive club. This feat is made all the more special as this revenue generated from a single language release, Telugu. Rangasthalam has registered record collections in overseas markets as well with this film being the first to breach the $3.5 Million benchmark. This goes to prove that a good film with great performances and good technical values can become a blockbuster even without CG effects. The Telugu Industry has made another significant mark in the world with this film.

And now, motivated with the success of the Telugu version of the film, the makers have decided to dub the film in all major Indian languages and release it at a PAN India level. A source close to the film shares, “There have been strong trade inquiries from all quarters and therefore the makers feel that the film should reach a wider audience.” Rangasthalam is directed by Sukumar and also stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu as the female lead and Pooja Hegde in special song. The film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers.

With the success of Rangasthalam, Ram Charan has once again proved that he is the undisputed king of the Telugu film industry. The film released at a time when the industry was going through a slump and there were low footfalls in theatres. The movie set the cash registers ringing right from the word go and is continuing its rampage, thus providing some respite to the hit-starved industry. The film showcased the star in an all new avatar and audience has loved him in his rural character, making the risk and hard work worth the while.
