The Bulgaria schedule of Brahmastra came to an end on March 23 as per plan. Ranbir Kapoor, along with his leading lady Alia Bhatt and Ayan Mukerji were all scheduled to be back in Mumbai on the 24 th. A source close to RK had exclusively told India.com about when the actor was supposed to be back. However, while he took the flight to India, a change of plan forced him to get down at the Heathrow Airport, in London. Reason? His good friend, and Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, was in London to promote her film Verna and was also a guest on the BBC chat show, Hardtalk with host Stephen Sackur.
According to reports, RK planned this detour to London to be able to meet Mahira and spend some time with her. The two have been previously romantically linked to each other after pictures of their midnight smoke break outside a hotel in New York went viral. Interestingly, while rumours about RK’s closeness to his Brahmastra co-star Alia Bhatt catch heat, it looks like his heart is still beating for Mahira. What’s interesting is, while Mahira was at Hardtalk, she spoke about how she felt violated when pictures of her with Ranbir went viral and their meeting became a national topic and debate, however, no where on the show did she mention how close their are to each other, as friends or more. Looks like, both the actors want to keep their personal equation a secret and away from public scrutiny. Is their Indian and Pakistani descent and the continuous tension between the two countries forcing them to do so? Perhaps.
We hear that Mahira had to be back in Pakistan soon after meeting Ranbir since she had a friend’s wedding to attend. Ranbir however has decided to stay back and enjoy his off duty time before he stars on the second schedule of the Ayan Mukerji directed super hero flick. He has been roaming the streets of London and obliging fans with selfies which are going viral on social media the past few days.
