Remember Purab Kohli from the popular TV series, Hip Hip Hurray, who was a video jockey and later took up acting in main stream films like Rock On, Noor, Jal, Airlift, Jal, Shaadi Ke Side Effects, My Brother Nikhil, to name a few. Well he got hitched to his long time British girlfriend, Lucy Payton in an intimate destination wedding at a luxurious boutique bungalow in Goa. Now isn’t that amazing? The two tied the knot according to the Hindu rituals. While he looked dashing in a cream coloured sherwani, Lucy looked breathtakingly stunning in a red lehenga.

The couple selected a vintage venue, a completely refurbished Portuguese bungalow that dates back to 1804. The wedding just had close family and friends of the couple in attendance. Among the known faces who were present at the wedding was the actor’s POW- Baandi Yudh Ke co-star, Amrita Puri. She essayed the role of his wife in the critically acclaimed TV series.  Well, it was she broke the news on the internet by sharing a pic of herself with the groom. Amrita looked charming as ever in a white and green pastel shade lehenga. The actress, herself, got hitched two months ago in a dreamy wedding ceremony. Well from the looks of it, Purab and Lucy had a Punjabi wedding. Anyway, take a look at some of the pics we got our hands on over the internet.

Purab and Lucy were in a relationship for over three years and even have a daughter named Inaya who was born in 2015. The couple had their first child outside the wedlock. However, Purabh had always stated that he wanted to marry Lucy only when their daughter was old enough to stand on her feet and see them get hitched. In an interview with a leading daily, Purab had said, “When Inaya was conceived, we were not married and it didn’t matter to me. When Lucy called me and said, ‘Hey we are having a baby,’ I said, ‘Wow. Let’s do it.’ There was pressure to get married. My mother was the most concerned and my family did say you guys have to get married quickly when she was pregnant. But I was adamant about not doing it because I never wanted my baby to feel that we got into a relationship because she was coming.” Well, we’re indeed happy to see the couple tie the knot and would like to take this opportunity to congratulate them and hope they have many many happy years of togetherness.
