The controversy around the film screening of S Durga is grabbing headlines every single day. The panel members were uncertain whether the film should be shown at the film festival or not. After discussions and debate over screening this Malayalam film at IFFI, it finally got a nod for the same. As per reports in CNN 18, the jury finally said yes to the screening of S Durga in IFFI 2017.

Earlier, the chairman of Indian Panorama Section, Rahul Rawail was quoted saying that the jury would let the I&B Ministry know of the decision taken regarding the screening of S Durga at the fest. I&B Ministry would then keep the Kerala High Court in the loop about the decision. Also, as per the reports in The Hindu, most of the panel members already had given a green signal to the screening of the film at IFFI 2017. Sasidharan earlier reacted saying, “I have no idea what’s happening. The festival director is not saying anything. I talked to the jury chairman; he says that the matter is sub judice. When I said that the order is very clear, he asks me to bring him a new order.” Now that the film is all set to be screened at IFFI 2017, the reactions are most awaited.  S Durga revolves around a couple and a terrible experience that it faces while hitchhiking.
