And the marriage season has begun! Chak De India actress Sagarika Ghatge married long-time boyfriend Zaheer Khan. The two opted for a court marriage and going by the first few pictures of the beautiful couple, it seemed like a really intimate affair with just family and close friends in attendance. While Sagarika wore a maroon saree and teamed it with a breathtaking neck piece, Zaheer was seen in a cream kurta. Later the same evening, the newly married couple threw a wedding party at a popular South Mumbai hotel. Everyone right from Sachin Tendulkar, Harbhajan Singh to Parthiv Patel were present to make it a memorable for the couple.
Amidst a lot of protests, the makers of Sanjay Leela Bhansali deferred the release of Padmavati. The film starring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh was all set to hit theatres on December 1. Though there is no official date as to when the film will finally hit theatres, reports suggest that the film will release in early 2018. After Padmavati, another film to get postponed for Kapil Sharma’s Firangi which was to hit theatres on November 24. The film is awaiting the Censor Board’s reply. The Kapil Sharma starrer was to earlier release on November 10.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan recently had a very public meltdown. The actress, along with mother Vrinda Rai and daughter Aaradhya visited a hospital on father Krishnaraj Rai’s birth anniversary to sponsor the surgeries of 100 kids suffering from cleft lips and palates – a condition her father was born with as well. During this, the paparazzi present was screaming and shouting at each other to get pics of Ash and her mom from the event. While the actress was trying her best to calm things down, but after they did not stop, an irritated Aishwarya said, “You do not need to click my photographs. I’m asking you all to please keep silent. You guys don’t need these images or this clip. We are used to these events because we belong to this business.” Watch the clip below:
The makers of Salman Khan – Katrina Kaif’s Tiger Zinda Hai finally released the first song from the film. Titled Swag Se Swaga, the high on energy number gave a glimpse of Katrina and Salman’s chemistry. Katrina’s never seen before sensuous avatar and her amazing dancing skills left us in awe of the actress. Also, Salman Khan looked as handsome as ever in Swag Se Swagat. Don’t you agree?
During the week that just passed by, the prestigious International Film Festival Of India (IFFI) kickstarted as well. Shah Rukh Khan inaugurated the festival in Goa. At the inaugural, SRK said, “There is a word in Sanskrit — Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. It means bringing the world together like a family. I believe no matter what your language, no matter what country your story comes from and no matter what ideologies, storytelling and listening should be a familial experience”. Apart from Khan, others present at the film festival included Shahid Kapoor, Sridevi with husband Boney Kapoor and daughter Janhvi Kapoor, Ishan Khatter, AR Rahman, Rajkummar Rao.
