Not only has Soha Ali Khan begun a new chapter of her life–that of motherhood, she has also turned into an author of a book titled, The Perils of Being Moderately Famous that chronicles her life from growing up as a princess in modern day India, to her days in college to beginning her career as a management consultant and eventually becoming a film celebrity. Well, just yesterday the actress shared an adorable pic of her reading the book to her daughter, Inaaya Naumi Kemmu, who was placed on her lap. And today the entire Pataudi Clan comprising Sharmila Tagore, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Saba Ali Khan and of course Soha along with her husband, Kunal Kemmu were present at the launch of her book.
Everyone looked absolutely stunning with Saif and Kareena of course making a striking picture. Kareena looked gorgeous in a red coloured body con dress whereas Saif looked like a Nawab in a white churidar kurta and red sleeveless bandhgala jacket. Sharmila Tagore looked graceful in a light blue silk sari. Both Soha and Kunal kept it casual for the evening. The book launch had every member of the family say a few words about Soha and the book. Apparently, there’s a chapter in the book that’s based on Saif and Kareena. We got our hands on a video from the book launch that has Kareena speak about Soha. She said, “If there is one person I am in awe of in this family, I think it’s Soha Ali Khan. Whenever I am out on a dinner with Saif and Soha, I am like I am never going to understand this conversation. If Kunal Kemmu can’t, there’s no way that I can.” Furthermore, she added, “Soha has always been so polite and if there’s anyone in the family that we turn to when amma (Sharmila Tagore) is all worked up, then it’s just one person who can control the situation and it’s Soha.” Take a look at the video below and a few pics from the book launch held today: (ALSO READ : Soha Ali Khan Reading Her Book To Daughter Inaaya Naumi Kemmu Needs To Be Framed Right Away)
In an interview with a leading daily, Soha had revealed that she had always toyed with the idea of writing a book as she was told that she was a good writer. “I was a student of History in college, so we had to write a lot of essays, and since then a lot of people said you write so well, you should write a book some day. Of course, I love reading, but I have always said that there’s a great difference between being a good reader and being able to write,” she said. When the publishers approached her with the proposition to write a book, she started considering it seriously. The publishers came to me with a proposition to publish my book and said that ‘We hear you are intelligent, maybe we could work with you’. At that time, it sounded really daunting, to be able to write 40,000-50,000 words. I didn’t know if I had it in me, so I asked if I could write just one chapter and send it to the editor first. She like them, and so I started writing it and finished a couple of months ago,” she disclosed to the leading daily. Well, we certainly can’t wait to grab a copy. What about you?
