Salman Khan may have been in the news for all the wrong reasons but here is something that could cheer you up if you are a die hard fan of the superstar. Well, the good news we’re all talking about is that Salman Khan is all set to make his debut as a television producer with a show on Mumbai police officers, which is expected to go on air next month. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Salman’s first TV production for Sony Entertainment Television is slated to go on air next month.
The shooting of the same reportedly kicked off quietly a few days ago at a Mumbai Studio, once the cast and crew were finalised. A source close to the development was quoted by Mirror as saying that the National Award-winning director of the 2014 Marathi film, Yellow, Mahesh Limaye, will helm the untitled show. “Writer Sridhar Raghavan, who has written films like Rohan Sippy’s light-hearted Bluffmaster and Rajkumar Santoshi multistarrer Khakee, among others, has written the script,” the source informed.
Word has it that Mukul Dev, who was last seen in the 21 Sarfarosh: Sargarhi 1897, has been roped in for the project pposite Pooja Gor of Mann Ki Awaaz and Pratigya fame. “The team has been researching stories on real-life cops from Mumbai,” the source added. In the meantime, on the professional front, Salman will next be seen in Remo D’souza’s flm, Race 3, the shooting of which is underway. He will also make his comeback as host with the reality game-show Dus Ka Dum.
