Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt and his wife Manyata Dutt have acquired a team in the upcoming Masters Champions League (MCL). This would be a Twenty20 tournament for retired international cricketers. The retired cricket players comprises of six teams. As per media reports, the actor’s wife Manyata has worked for this deal as her husband Sanjay has been serving jail sentence in connection with 1993 Mumbai blasts.
Legendary players such as Virendra Sehwag, Wasim Akram, Brian Lara, Jacques Kallis and Dean Jones will be seen competing against each other. The tournament will be held in Dubai and it will kick off next year. Sanjay Dutt’s yet-to-be named team would be managed by Indranil Das Blah. Indranil who is a managing partner at talent management company CAA KWAN said, “The teams will be named after sun signs. We will be gunning for Leo. Most of the paper work has been completed and the auction or draft will be conducted by the end of November this year,” reports Business Standard. With regards to the size of the deal nothing has been revealed yet. According to reports, Sanjay and Manyata are excited to be associated with MCL and are looking forward to take their love for cricket ahead.
