As per the Mumbai Mirror report, the decision has allegedly made the producer of the film, Zoya Akhtar, reach out to his favourite star – Ranveer Singh. Earlier, another report surfaced stating that Farhan and his team are in the last stages of locking the final script post which SRK will indeed begin shooting for the film. However, nothing official has come out of the horse’s mouth yet.

SRK has also opted out of the much-awaited Rakesh Sharma biopic titled Saare Jahaan Se Achcha. It is believed that after the failure of Zero last year, Shah Rukh consciously decided to not take up another space film and therefore, moved beyond the Prakash Kovelamudi-directorial.
