After being in a few relationships, bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor finally decided to settle down with Delhi girl Mira Rajput in an arranged marriage.  The two got married in a simple ceremony in Delhi on July 7. Arranged marriage is quite unheard of in Bollywood these days with a majority of the celebrities settling down with someone from the industry. Madhuri Dixit

The Dhak Dhak girl, who was every man’s dream went with her family’s choice and married Dr Sriram Nene. Madhuri Dixit was impressed by Dr Nene’s intelligence and his culinary skills. The two are happily married and have two sons and relocated to Mumbai recently.

Vivek Oberoi

Vivek Oberoi had a bitter breakup with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. While Aishwarya fell in love with Abhishek Bachchan and got married, Vivek went for a settled marriage with Priyanka Alva. Vivek and Priyanka are now proud parents of a boy and a girl.

Karishma Kapoor

Karishma Kapoor’s marriage was an arranged one. After her engagement broke with Abhishek Bachchan, she got married to Delhi businessman Sanjay Kapur. But sadly their marriage did not last long and they are now living separately.


Our very own Chi chi bhaiya’s marriage too was an arranged one. He went with his mother’s choice and married Sunita. From then on the two are together and Sunita has supported Govinda through thick and thin. They have a daughter and a son.

Esha Deol

Dharmendra and Hema Malini’s daughter Esha Deol got married to Bharat Takhtani in a fairytale wedding. Takhtani was a family friend of Deols’. Though they knew each other from before, they call it an arranged marriage only.

These celebrities probably believe in love after marriage and so they must have opted for arranged marriages. Salman Khan had recently said that he is open to arrange marriage. Let’s see if the most eligible bachelor of India will also settle for an arranged marriage.
