And Shiv Sena strikes again! The political party has claimed that they won’t allow any Pakistani actor or cricketer to enter Maharastra, a DNA report claims. While Fawad Khan is making girls go weak on their knees ever since his TV show Zindagi Gulzaar Hai went on air, and Mahira Khan who will be seen making her Bollywood debut opposite SRK in Raees, Shiv Sena has threatened the Pakistani actors to not promote their films in Maharashtra. “We have taken a stand not to allow any Pakistani actor, cricketer or performer to step on Maharashtra soil,” Emirates 24/7 quotes Akshay Bardapurkar, a leader of Shiv Sena. Last week, Shiv Sena attacked Sudheendra Kulkarni, the organiser of a book launch in Mumbai for former Pakistan foreign minister Khurshid Kasuri, saying any engagement with Pakistan is unacceptable.
However this isn’t the first time when Shiv Sena activists have raised an eyebrow on Pakistani talents trying their luck in Bollywood. In the last few weeks, Sena has hit national headlines with its protest against Pakistani ghazal singer Ghulam Ali’s concerts in Pune and Mumbai (which were consequently cancelled).
Fawad is currently shooting for Dharma’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil where he’s paired with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Mahira will soon be shooting with SRK for Raees.
