Fame and glory doesn’t last forever and we have a perfect proof of that. Well, remember Jaya Bhattacharya, best known for her role as the villain Payal Mehra in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi — the actress who once ruled the TV scene as one of the leading antagonists? Latest reports indicate that she is going through a very rough patch with no job in her hand to support her ailing mother. Shocking, isn’t it? The actress in a statement to Telly Chakkar has appealed for work in order to get out of the financial crisis she is currently going through.
She was quoted as saying, ““My mother has been admitted from 26 November. I am in a deep fix as all my finances are down the drain. Due to a renovation contract for my house, I am currently put up at my rakhi brother’s place. Though there is a lot of liberty in taking decisions and doing things, I don’t have anybody whom I can depend on or whose shoulder I can cry on. I am a strong woman and I have never given up. I will never. But I am in a terrible fix and badly in need of work,” she added.
Jaya has been supporting and taking care of her 79-year-old mother who was diagnosed with heart problems recently. She is currently in the ICU where she is being treated for her ailment. Jaya is in the midst of a major financial crisis as she is running out of savings and funds to pay for her mother’s treatment. Well, we certainly hope people from the television industry are listening to her pleas and have a role in mind for the actress. She was last seen in TV show Thapki Pyaar Ki and has also appeared in Kasamh Se, Pal Chhin, Kesar and Hatim. Apart from these TV shows, she also starred in Shabana Azmi’s 2017 film, The Wishing Tree.
