On August 15 the iconic movie ‘Sholay’ will turn 40. As Ramesh Sippy’s film completes 40 glorious years, Indian filmmaker Karan Johar remembers as a child how he danced to Hema Malini’s song Jab Tak Hai Jaan.

Last time we heard Salman Khan going to watch this classic movie in his school uniform and Abhishek Bachchan missed it because he was not even born when ‘Sholay’ was released. Yesterday (August 11) at the trailer launch of ‘Shaandaar’ Karan told the reporters, “Shahid (Kapoor) and Alia (Bhatt) were not even born when we all saw Sholay. I saw the film when it was in its sixth year. I saw two back-to-back shows. I saw it at 3 pm and cried because I wanted to see it again. So I saw the 6 pm show as well. I saw it nearly 100 times,” reports PTI. (ALSO READ: Shaandaar Trailer: Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s blingy wedding affair is a visual treat)
