Shorgul‘s first song Tere Bina has just released, and it proves yet again that Arijit Singh is a fantastically melodious singer. He does not need Salman Khan for his career! Why is he begging him to forgive me for a joke on stage at an awards function? Arijit as usual is soulful in this song with minimal lyrics, penned by politician Kapil Sibal. The full version of the song may be slightly different.
The romantic song begins with shots of water and shows clippings from the movie. Tere Bina features Turkish supermodel Suha Gezen, who plays the female lead in Shorgul, in an underwater sequence that took over 18 hours to shoot.
Tere Bina has been composed by sitar and zitar maestro Niladri Kumar who marks his debut as music director in the film. The two-line lyrics need that kind of instrumental music and the chorus to keep it catchy and soulful. Arijit goes a bit classical in this one, while the chorus is sung by Awaaz Kids, a choir consisting of singers from underprivileged backgrounds who were trained for 30 days for the purpose.
Shorgul releases on June 24, 2016 and also stars Jimmy Shergill and Hiten Tejwani. Watch the song Tere Bina here, and please tell Arijit Singh that he does not have to suck up to Salman Khan! (ALSO READ: He has to forgive me someday: Arijit Singh on row with Salman Khan)
