The month of October saw some amazing films. It has been just fifteen days and already four films hit the silver screens. Some movies left the audiences spellbound whilst some was not worth watching. The four movies that shined at the box office were of different genres and every genre received different views. Here are the four movies that made some huge buzz in B-town.
Singh Is Bliing
This was an action comedy film directed by Prabhu Deva. The movie starred Akshay Kumar, Amy Jackson, Lara Dutta and Kay Kay Menon in the lead roles. The movie that hit the theatres on October 2 received tremendous response from the audiences. It showed some strong figures at the box office. The Meghna Gulzar directorial is based on a true story. It is based on the 2008 Noida double murder case. The movie featured Irrfan Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Neeraj Kabi and Sohum Shah in the lead roles. This thriller drama impressed the audience with a meaningful story. The story was portrayed brilliantly without much dramatical background score. The mystery was unfolded in the most authentic manner. ‘Talvar’ and ‘Singh Is Bliing’ clashed on the same day, October 2. B-town beauty Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made her comeback with this film and it proved to be the perfect one for her. She won the critics over with her brilliant performance as Anuradha Verma, the criminal lawyer. Irrfan Khan, Shabana Azmi, Atul Kulkarni and Chandan Roy Sanyal were also part of this thriller drama flick. The Sanjay Gupta directed movie hit the screens on October 9. Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2
The romedy film ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2’ is a sequel to the 2011 film ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’. This movie hit the screens today (October 16) but it didn’t turn out to be impressive as expected. Though there were impressive dialogues, this movie did not surprise the movie fanatics with anything new. In fact the prequel was much better.
