Bollywood actor Sitaram Panchal, breathed his last today after a long and arduous battle to cancer. The 54-year-old actor, had been suffering from Lung and Kidney Cancer since the last three years. In his acting career, the actor featured in some critically acclaimed movie such as Anusha Rizvi’s Peepli Live, Danny Boyle’s Oscar winning movie Slum Dog Millionaire and Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Paan Singh Tomar, to name a few. The actor reportedly couldn’t afford his treatment and took to Facebook to request his fans and the fraternity to help him with finances. In his post, he said,”Brothers, please help me, I am suffering from cancer, your actor brother, Sitaram Panchal”

Earlier while talking to Hindustan Times, his wife Uma was quoted saying, “Ever since the cancer was detected in January 2014, he has taken Ayurvedic treatment. It was only recently that he started a new homoeopathic medicine, following which, his condition worsened and we discontinued the medicines.”
