The couple, who had been tight-lipped about their wedding, recently, made their relationship official on social media, while the bride and groom’s family confirmed their impending wedding by sharing a statement, which read, “From the Kapoor & Ahuja families, The Kapoor & Ahuja families, take great joy and pride, in announcing the marriage of Sonam & Anand. The wedding will take place on the 8th of May in Mumbai. Since it is an intimate affair, we request you to respect the family’s need for privacy. Thank you for all your blessings and love, as we celebrate this special moment in our lives. Thanks & Regards.”

While the guest list for the royal wedding is still under wraps, we now hear that the power couple – Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and Indian Cricket Team captain Virat Kohli, who had recently tied the knot on December 11, will not be making a joint appearance as a married couple at Sonam and Anand’s wedding. Yes, you read that right. In a statement to Pinkvilla, a source revealed, “Anushka is on tight schedule post her birthday as she will be heading to the United States, in paticular Alabama with Shah Rukh for the final schedule of Aanand L. Rai’s movie, Zero. Hence, she will be missing out on Sonam’s big day. Sonam and Anand will reportedly tie the knot over a two-day ceremony on May 7 and 8 in Mumbai. Their wedding ceremonies shall take place at three different locations. From a colourful mehendi celebration to a dhamakedaar sangeet night, the duo has planned a perfect fairy tale big fat destination wedding. Well, the report in the online portal also suggests that Bollywood divas Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone will also be not making to the wedding as both the actresses will be walking the red carpet at Met Gala 2018 in New York, on May 8.
