The ace singer Sonu Nigam is right now the hottest topic of town and all thanks to his tweet where he complained of waking up to Azaan on Monday . His tweet read, “God bless everyone. I’m not a Muslim and I have to be woken up by the Azaan in the morning. When will this forced religiousness end in India.”

Obviously his tweet triggered anyone and everyone and this stirred storm on internet. The singer was mercilessly trolled. Many supported him, while others had a laugh over it. In fact his tweet became a nation concern. (ALSO READ: Singers Shaan and Kailash Kher support Sonu Nigam’s twitter rant while Baba Sehgal finds it negative!

His friend Shaan stood in hsi support and while talking to an online portal said, ” I support what he has tweeted, not because he is a friend but because he is right. The law of the land is equal to all. People should be considerate towards each other. Be it Azaan or Hanuman Chalisa jaap or for any other religious practice, one must understand that noise pollution must be curtailed. Everyone has the right to enjoy their festivals and practice their religion but not at the cost of disturbing others,” says the singer adding that he is also against religious processions during various festivals as that leads to conjestion and disturbs daily life.

However Sonu is least affected by all the trolls and controversies and stood by his statement with another latest tweet, which reads, ” Dear everyone. Your stand exposes your own IQ. I stand by my statement that loudspeakers should not be allowed in Mosques & Temples. Period.”

Sonu made it clear that he has NO problem with any religion, but with the loudspeakers.
