Stree Movie Review: Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi Provide Right Mix of Humour and Spook

Stree, an out and out entertainer, could be a pathbreaking film for Bollywood horror comedies. The genre is yet to be exploited by Indian filmmakers with Rohit Shetty’s ‘Golmaal Again’ (despite its good box-office performance) and Abhay Deol starrer ‘Nanu Ki Janu’ failing miserably.

The men in the film steal the show with their amazing performances. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Rajkummar Rao is outstanding in his portrayal of a village boy, who thinks that with a pair of headphones and a 4G connection, he is modern. But that doesn’t stop him from falling head-over-heels in love with the first girl he meets. Shraddha Kapoor, too, manages to pull off her role of a girl with no name, faltering only at places.
