Indo-Canadian pornstar Sunny Leone decided to cash in on her popularity in India and enter Bollywood, thereby even ‘cleaning up’ her image in front of the desi crowd. But before that, her life in Canada and America has been a different story. Born Karenjit Kaur Vohra, Sunny Leone grew up to become a student of nursing. But she turned to modelling and was also adjudged Penthouse Pet of the Year in 2003. Sunny, who also uses the screen name Karen Malhotra abroad, soon became a popular pornstar and producer. She later married musician Daniel Weber who is her partner and manager now. A new documentary on the actress, titled Mostly Sunny Partly Cloudy, will now make way into theatres in order to tell fans the real story of Sunny Leone. It is also likely to be shown at the Sundance Film Festival 2016.
Mostly Sunny Partly Cloudy is directed by Dilip Mehta. The film will get a worldwide release. Mehta spoke to DNA about the film, “It would be a worldwide theatrical release. It’s a feature-length documentary. Sunny is endearing, warm, candid and emotional and takes one through her life trajectory with remarkable openness and confidence.”
Daniel Weber said about the documentary on his pretty wife, “Yes, the documentary will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival 2016 as planned as of now. Once we have the final release plans and edits, we will comment more.”
