Rubina Dilaik who gained fame after playing the role of Radhika in the TV series Choti Bahu is tying the knot with longtime boyfriend and actor Abhinav Shukla. Dating since 2015, the couple finally decided to tie the knot on June 21 in a private ceremony with the presence of their family members and few close friends at a palace in Shimla. Hailing from Shimla, her marriage will have a royal touch to it and will be hosted by Raj Kumar Uday Singh. The couple is planning for a fairytale wedding and a little bit of the glimpse is seen in their wedding card. The initials of their names are carved beautifully in golden with a woody background. In a conversation with the daily, Rubina shared her idea of creating an organic wedding invite. She said, “I’m so happy that we are evolving as a generation and becoming so responsible towards our environment. The idea was to do something meaningful and eco-friendly, as lavishness is not necessarily defined by mindless use of things that just look beautiful and serve no purpose. Also, we wanted to gift friends a token of appreciation and thank them by giving them a life. It’s in the form of a plant or sapling and we named it ‘let the love grow’. Through this invitation, we are sharing a piece of our contentment, happiness and joy.”

During an interview with Hindustan Times, the actor talked about her wedding and revealed, “To keep the wedding a private affair, we will have the functions in a palace in Shimla, away from the media. Our families will also be more comfortable without the media around. However, we will invite the media and our friends to the reception in Mumbai. I always wanted a fairytale wedding and wanted to get married in a palace, and I am glad that this dream will come true. It is a privilege and an honour that Raj Kumar Uday Singh said that they would love to host the wedding at the palace. It is a beautiful heritage palace that has stood since the time of the British rule.”
