Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla have been in news since the time the two were dating and has finally tied the knot yesterday in Rubina’s hometown, Shimla. It was a royal yet intimate party with the presence of their family and a couple of friends. Though the wedding was an intimate one, almost the whole country could somehow be a part of it, all thanks to social media.
Rubina had a special gift for her husband on her sangeet which she wrote and composed. Revealing more about her song, Rubina told Times of India, “It took me four months to create the song, Teriya Mohabbatein, which is a Hindi and Punjabi mix number. It’s my gift to Abhinav, as I wanted to dedicate him something in his mother tongue. Everybody expected me to dance, but I wanted to do something unexpected. I made an audio-visual representation of our relationship, sang the song, recorded it and played it. It was like a musical skit, which was enacted by my friends. That was the highlight of the evening.”
This song of Rubina left Abhinav overwhelmed and adding to this he said, “The Dilaiks impressed us with their warmth and hospitality. The song that Rubina dedicated to me is the best gift I have ever received. Rubina’s mom gave me an outdoor watch, which I was planning to buy since a long time. My mother gave Rubina some traditional jewellery, which she has inherited.” The couple finally tied the knot after dating for three years now. In her wedding ceremony, Rubina was seen wearing a gorgeous white pink lehenga and Abhinav looked dashing in a blue sherwani. They will be throwing a reception for their industry friends on June 28, in Mumbai.
