Kapil Sharma has reportedly taken a huge pay cut for the second season of his show The Kapil Sharma Show. Reports also suggested that his colleagues Bharti Singh and Krushna Abhishek have also slashed their fees. Recently Krushna reacted to the rumours and said that it is all false and that he is happy to work with his team.
Krushna who is a new member of the show and a close friend of Kapil told Bollywood Life that these rumors are false. He said, “These pay cut rumours are false. We are getting our stipulated amount. We are extremely happy working together. Anyways, money is secondary. No one can beat the fact that The Kapil Sharma Show is the biggest comedy show in the country”.
Yesterday, a report in Dainik Bhaskar suggested that Kapil who would earlier charge Rs 60-70 lakh per weekend episode now gets around Rs 15-20 lakh per weekend episode. The show has two newcomers Bharti and Krushna. Reports also suggest that the two comedians get around Rs 10- 12 lakh per weekend episode.
The first episode of The Kapil Sharma Show had Simmba starrers Sara Ali Khan and Ranveer Singh as the guests along with the director of the film Rohit Shetty. The next episode of the show will be aired tonight where Salman will be making an appearance with his father Salim Khan and brothers Arbaas and Sohail Khan.
Earlier, Kapil’s colleague Sunil Grover had wished him on Twitter on his marriage with Ginni Chatrath. Today, Kapil replied to his tweet and wrote, “Thank u so much paji.. we missed u .. love n best wishes always.” However, with this Twitter conversation, it seems like both the comedians have finally put their fight behind them for good and their fans could not be happier. On the professional front, Sunil will grace the big screen in Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat alongside Katrina Kaif and Salman.
Meanwhile, December 2018 turned out to be a great month for Kapil. He tied the knot with Ginni Chatrath on December 12 in their hometown Jalandhar in two ceremonies – Hindu and Sikh. Post their marriage, they hosted two receptions, one in Amritsar and in Mumbai. Their Mumbai reception was a star-studded one with many Bollywood celebs like Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Rekha and others attending it.
