Actor Vijay, who is also referred to by fans and the media as Thalapathy, is very well loved in south India with many of his movies becoming blockbusters. He has such a huge fan following that whenever he is spotted in public, people go crazy and rush over to meet him. During one such incident, which had taken place where he was shooting for his upcoming movie, tentatively titled Thalapathy 63, he ended up having to rescue his admirers when a fence collapsed.
Shooting for the movie, which is a sports film written and directed by Atlee, has been taking place at various locations, and as usual, when his fans come to know where he is, they throng the place in the hopes of catching a glimpse of him.
In the video, which went viral, he could be seen walking towards his fans, who were eagerly waiting for him. After jumping over a small ditch, he waved to his followers who were standing on the other side of a fence. As he approached them, however, they went a little crazy and began to push against the fence with excitement, which in turn led to the fence collapsing and them toppling on top of one another.
Vijay was a little taken aback when he saw the fence, which had been erected for security purposes, coming down as fans jostled to get a better view. But he immediately rushed forward to push it back upright with others at the film set.
