Salman Khan is taking us back to the Race with the third installment of the action thriller – Race 3. The film releases on June 15 on Eid and the recently released trailer had become a talk of the town. Among other things, the scene with a shirtless Salman and his co-star Bobby Deol got everyone’s attention. The film is being seen as Bobby’s comeback into mainstream Bollywood, after a decent role in 2017’s Poster Boys. Bobby is obviously excited about being part of Race 3 with such an interesting ensemble cast.
He is also thankful to Salman for making this happen. Talking about how Race 3 came his way, Bobby revealed that it was Salman who took his first audition for the action film and he had only one question for him, “Shirt utarega?” Bobby further shared that he told Salman that he’d do whatever is required of him. And that’s how Bobby landed the role of the main baddie ‘Yash’ in Race 3. Further talking about how he transformed himself for the part and earned himself the tag ‘Body Deol’ from Salman, Bobby told Mid-Day, “After Salman Khan made me realise that I should take better care of my body, I started training with Prashant Sawant. Once I signed Race 3, I was training with Salman’s fitness coach and his assistant, Prajwal.” Being part of Race 3 has been nothing less than life changing. He is fitter and also back in the business, looking dashing as ever!
Bobby is glad that Race 3 came at an opportune time, just when he decided to get his film career back on track. With this Remo D’Souza film, the actor hopes that things will change for the better and audience will see him more often on the big screen. Apart from Race 3, Bobby has also bagged a role in Sajid Nadiadwala’s Housefull 4 along with Akshay Kumar and Ritiesh Deshmukh. So this year, this Deol, might just be able to turn things around for his Bollywood career.
