Thugs of Hindostan, featuring actors Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh, had a historic first day collection. However, it witnessed a huge dip on the second day and day 3 was no different. Though the movie has entered the coveted Rs 100 crore club, its downward spiral has continued. Thugs of Hindostan earned Rs 52.25 crore on day one and then went on to mint Rs 29.25 crore and 23.50 crore on Friday and Saturday respectively. The box office numbers have been shared by trade analyst Taran Adarsh on social media.
He took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote, “The DOWNFALL continues… #ThugsOfHindostan gets weaker with each passing day… With biz declining further on Day 3 [Sat], the writing is clear on the wall… Will find it tough to sustain from Day 5 [Mon] onwards… #TOH.”

The film released on Diwali but it came as a big disappointment for cinema lovers. Aamir and Big B shared the screen space for the first time but seems like the mega budget movie failed to entertain the audience.
Even the high octane action sequences and glossy dance numbers couldn’t save Thugs of Hindostan.
It is touted to be one of the costliest movies. The project was bankrolled by Yash Raj Films and helmed by Vijay Krishna Acharya.
The story, set in 1795, is about a band of thugs that take on the British East India Company and tries to free India from its grip.
On a related note, Big B will next be seen with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in Brahmastra. Katrina, on the other hand, is gearing up for the release of Zero which also features Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma. Directed by Anand L Rai, the movie is all set to hit the screens on December 21.
