Thugs of Hindostan, featuring actors Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh, opened to wonderful response. The film minted Rs 52.25 crore on day one. However, after the negative reviews, it witnessed a huge dip. It has been seven days since the film has released but it is still struggling at the box office. Thugs of Hindostan minted Rs 1.20 cr on the seventh day of its release and the total collection now stands at Rs 137.55 cr.

The numbers were shared by trade analyst Taran Adarsh on social media. He took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and wrote, “#ThugsOfHindostan – #Tamil + #Telugu: Thu 1.50 cr, Fri 1 cr, Sat 75 lakhs, Sun 75 lakhs, Mon 50 lakhs, Tue 40 lakhs, Wed 30 lakhs. Total: ₹ 5.20 cr. India biz. #TOH.”

However, Ayushmann Khurrana’s Badhaai Ho continued its golden run. The movie has minted Rs 119.30 cr till now. The small budget film is giving tough competition to TOH.

Thugs of Hindostan released on Diwali and it turned out to be big disappointment. It was one of the costliest films which had some high octane action sequences. However, the charming faces and glossy dance numbers didn’t spell magic on the audience. The project was bankrolled by Yash Raj Films and helmed by Vijay Krishna Acharya.

Amitabh and Aamir shared the screen space for the first time. People had high expectations from the film. The story, set in 1795, is about a band of thugs that take on the British East India Company and tries to free India from its grip.

On a related note, Big B will next be seen with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in Brahmastra. The film will hit the screens on Christmas 2019.
