Thugs of Hindostan has become one of the most anticipated movies of the year after the release of its trailer and the song Vashmalle, which showcased megastars Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan doing a lively jig. Now it is the turn of actress Katrina Kaif, whose performance to the song Suraiyya, is leaving fans wanting more. The teaser showed only snippets of her dance moves, but Katrina posted a video on her social media page to show the hard work she put in for the song.
Suraiyya is based on Katrina’s character in the film, and in the video she put up on her Instagram page, she can be seen doing some steps with Aamir, as dance choreographer Prabhudeva tutors them. In the caption for the video, she writes that she was not able to figure out the dance steps, if they were jazz, ballet or folk, but had fun doing them. Check the video out:
When the teaser for song Suraiyya came out, even though it was a short clip, it received good reviews from fans, who said that they can’t wait to view more of it.
Thugs of Hindostan, which has so far managed to capture the attention of viewers, is an epic action-adventure film, written and directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya. Apart from Amitabh, Aamir and Katrina, it also stars Fatima Sana Shaikh and Lloyd Owen in lead roles.
The movie is set in 1795 and the story is about a band of thugs, who are led by Khudabaksh Azaad, played by Amitabh, who aspires to free Hindostan (the Indian subcontinent) from the rule of the British East India Company.
Produced by Aditya Chopra under his banner Yash Raj Films, it is said to be one of the most expensive movies to have been created in India with a budget of Rs 300 crore. It is all set to hit the screens on November 8, 2018, during Diwali.
