After Drashti Dhami, actor Abhinav Shukla has also left Colors’ popular show, Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka. The TV show had him playing a negative character named Rajdeep, Nandini’s cruel husband. The news has come as a disappointment for the show’s fans who loved Abhinav’s performance. Drashti, too, announced that she had bid adieu to the show after playing the popular lead for more more than four months. The show also features Shakti Arora and Aditi Sharma in other important roles in the film.

Announcing his farewell on social media, Abhinav posted a heartfelt message thanking his fans for giving love to his character. He posted a picture from his first day on the sets and wrote, “That was Day 1 of my shoot ! Its ironical that much love and appreciation not just from friends but from professionals came doing a outrightly horrible character ! People loved Rajdeep in-spite of his evilness .. For me too it was ironical the month i was actually getting married i was beating my reel wife onscreen . I am surprised at the appreciation and love people had for my character ! I will miss working with such an amazing team ! I learnt so much playing a bad boy obviously not as much as i learnt being a good human in real life ! Thankyou @colorstv @dhamidrashti @aditidevsharma @shaktiarora the entire Production team of Sphereorigins . Thankyou @pearl_spellbound Dr MRS will be remembered for much time to come and the credit goes to you for that catchy word !. Thankyou all the fans of Silsila you guys are reason i loved doing each scene”.

Earlier, Drashti also wrote an emotional message while announcing her departure from Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka. She posted, “And this journey of Nandini on “Silsila” come to an end today…. It’s been short but one helluva of a journey….. I still remember the outdoor shoot in Goa like it happened yesterday to working with new co stars who are my friends today…actually very very good friends & to the sheer hard work I put in to bring “Nandini” to life on screen… It’s actually been a roller coaster rides which has been bumpy, but been a huge learning for me both as an actor as well as a person… I do want to thank my producers [this is my 2nd show with them] the channel, my co actors/colleague on this show and everyone associated with this show & to my fans who have been so so supportive…. Till the next acting initiative here’s Drashti signing off, till we meet again…..Adios Lots of love”

The speculations are rife that the show is set to take either a 2-year or a 6-year leap with the introduction of a new character. Reportedly, actor Kinshuk Mahajan will be seen playing a business tycoon named Ishaan, Mauli’s (Aditi Sharma’s character) friend. Watch out this space for all the latest updates on the show!
