Star Plus daily soap Kasautii Zindagi Kay 2 has witnessed an ascend in the in the charts prepared by Broadcast Audience Research Council of India (BARC) and ranks 7th among the favourite shows watched by the urban segment. Evaluating weekly how the shows are faring, BARC came out with their statistically maintained list for the final week of this year and revealed this good news for the Kasauti fans. The upward climb marks a huge achievement for the show.

Serial RadhaKrishn that airs on channel STAR Bharat, experienced a massive drop in numbers which is disappointing. Meanwhile, Sony Sab’sTaraak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah rose to the third place and Sony TV’s Indian Idol secured the position of the highest rated non-fiction show on Indian TV.

In the urban segment, Naagin 3 retained its first place with 8.4 million impressions viewership which is a huge margin. The second rank holder is Kundali Bhagya at 7.3 million impressions while on the third spot is Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah with 6.7 million impressions viewership. Next in rank is Star Plus’ Kulfi Kumar Bajewala (6.6 million) and the fifth place was held by Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya. With 6.3 million impressions viewership, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai stood sixth followed by the already mentioned Kasautii Zindagi Kay 2 which rose to secure the 7th place in the list of top 10 urban segment shows with 6.3 million impressions viewership. Indian Idol, though the highest rated non-fiction show, stood at the eighth position and Zee TV’s new hit show Tujhse Hai Raabta was on the ninth place after receiving 5.9 million impressions viewership this week. The list was sealed by Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki which got 5.6 million impressions viewership to secure the tenth place.

With this list out, Star Plus, Zee TV, Colors, Sony Entertainment Television, Star Bharat, Sony Sab, Star Utsav, Sony Pal, Zee Anmol and &TV became the top 10 channels preferred by the urban segment.

In a combo list of urban and rural preferences, Zee Anmol’s Kumkum Bhagya held the first spot with 15 million impressions viewership in the past week and Colors’ Naagin 3 took the second spot with 13 million impressions. They were followed by Kundali Bhagya (11.4), Kumkum Bhagya (10.6) and RadhaKrishn (10.4) in the third, fourth and fifth spot respectively. Tujhse Hai Raabta (10.2) stood sixth in this urban-rural combo list while Nimki Mukhiya (9.5) ranked seventh. Kulfi Kumar Bajewala (9.3) was on the eighth place and Kasautii Zindagi Kay 2, which has seen a growth in rural areas too, was on the ninth place with Ramayan finishing the list.

In the list of top 20, shows like Bigg Boss 12, Nazar and Qayamat Ki Raat featured among others with Sunil Grover’s Kanpur Wale Khurana’s managing the same ratings as Nazar.
