Anup Jalota and his partner, Jasleen Matharu, are a current favourite in Bigg Boss 12. The two entered the show as a ‘vichitra jodi‘ and instantly became the audience’s favourite. Both announced on the stage in front of host Salman Khan, that they are dating each other and share a special bond. As soon as they stepped inside the house, they faced ire from the rest of the contestants who were too curious to know the reality of their relationship. Not just the housemates, the audience too went berserk and soon, Anup Jalota started trending on Twitter with several memes on him being shared on other social media platforms.
Now, actress Shilpa Shinde, who moderated the first task on Bigg Boss 12 with actor Karan Patel, has spoken about the issue. Talking to Pinkvilla, the Bigg Boss 11 winner said that she is not against Anup Jalota‘s relationship with Jasleen Matharu. She added that when two people are compatible and comfortable with each other, no other person has a right to question their decision of living together.

Shilpa stated, “Anup ji is not an isolated example of such relationships to feel weird about it. I don’t think it is wrong if two people are compatible and have developed a bond after staying together. Earlier, it was said that female should be younger than men but today the definitions have changed so if the society can accept that then why not this? Also, to target him for his profession is not correct. People should keep professional and personal (issues) different. A lot of people do a lot of things behind closed doors, to accept a relationship in public is not easy.”
