Kapil Sharma is one of the most loved comedians on Indian television. The news of his return on the small screen is doing the rounds. He has confirmed that he will be making a comeback on TV with a comedy show and the work has already begun. Now, the latest update in the news has it that the actor will be featured with popular comedians, Bharti Singh and Krushna Abhishek, on the new show.
The makers of the show reportedly don’t want to burden Kapil with the responsibility of running a show alone and therefore, the decision of roping-in other celebrity comedians has been taken up. A source close to the show explained this to Bombay Times. The daily quoted, “While Krushna and Bharti Singh came on board earlier, the makers have now decided to rope in Kapil, too. The trio will be working together after many years since they branched out post-Comedy Circus. It will be a comedy show, but different from what they have done so far”.

It should be noted that both Kapil and Krushna are considered as rivals since their Comedy Circus days. In fact, the latter also took over Kapil’s show on Colors TV to host it. The daily also reports that all the three comedians will be talking to celebs, running the chat show according to the format, along with performing various gigs.
The source added, “Kapil was not in India, but the makers of the show were in touch with him. He is currently in Amritsar and is looking forward to returning to action. He has already started working out”.

Comedy Circus, The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, Comedy Nights With Kapil and The Kapil Sharma Show are a few of Kapil Sharma’s popular TV shows. He also tried his luck in films and featured in Abbas Mustan-directed Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon (2015) and later, in Firangi (2017). Both the films couldn’t fetch much at the Box Office. However, that didn’t deter Kapil’s popularity among his fans. He kept entertaining them with his stint on television until he hit a roadblock with his deteriorating health.
Kapil was accused of being under the influence of alcohol. He was also reportedly being treated for depression. His tiff with his colleagues and open abusive arguments with journalists made the phase worse. The actor then returned with another show on Sony TV, titled Family Time With Kapil Sharma. But, it only ran for two weeks and had to go off-air following Kapil’s unavailability on the sets.
Now, with so many preparations going on around his new show, let’s just hope we get our Kapil back!
